Terms of use

Proposed rules for accounts, teaching materials and platform use.

Operator and accounts

SeedSlate is the intended trading name, and info@seedslate.co.uk is the intended public contact. The legal operator, postal address and contracting jurisdiction are unconfirmed. The intended audience includes tutors, families, schools and learners of all ages, with no minimum student age. These draft terms are not yet effective. Accounts must use an authorised identity and must not impersonate another person. Keep sign-in details secure and report suspected account misuse.

Schools, tutors and parents must agree who manages student access and educational records. Young students must not be asked to enter a commercial subscription contract. Free student access is the intended arrangement; final plan limits and teacher terms must be confirmed.

Your materials

You retain the rights you hold in uploaded work. The proposed service licence is limited to storing, transmitting, displaying and making necessary technical copies of that work to provide the service to authorised users. It does not transfer ownership or grant permission for unrelated advertising or AI training.

Only upload or share material you have permission to use. Do not share complete publisher books or other copyrighted materials without the appropriate rights. Users can report suspected infringement through the safety/contact route once confirmed.

Using and leaving the service

Use SeedSlate for legitimate teaching and learning. Do not threaten or harass others, share unlawful content, attempt unauthorised access or disrupt the service. Access may be restricted to protect users or investigate misuse, with an appropriate explanation and review route.

Export and account closure arrangements must be agreed before these terms are effective. Closing an account does not necessarily erase school-controlled teaching records. The service does not promise uninterrupted availability or certify all generated or automatically scored work as accurate; teachers should review educational decisions.

No term should exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or remove statutory consumer rights. Liability provisions, complaint handling and any material service changes need UK legal review before these terms are issued.
