Acceptable use and safety

Proposed behaviour rules and a practical route for concerns.

Respect and safe sharing

Use respectful language and share only work appropriate for the lesson. Do not bully, sexualise, exploit, threaten or target another user. Do not post private contact details, passwords or identifying photos of others without a valid reason and authority.

Teachers should control invitations and shared work, check intended recipients and supervise student communication according to their school or tutoring arrangements. SeedSlate is a platform; these pages do not certify tutors, promise background checks or provide a staffed safeguarding service.

Reporting concerns

In an immediate emergency in the UK, call 999. Students should also tell a trusted adult. Preserve only necessary evidence and do not forward harmful material widely. Direct messages have a block option; a blocking feature is not a complete safety-reporting system.

The intended support and safety contact is info@seedslate.co.uk. The operator must verify mailbox delivery, assign a responder and backup, and complete review and escalation arrangements before this policy is issued. The existing Suggestions button is ordinary feedback and must not be advertised as an emergency or guaranteed safeguarding channel.

Reports should identify the affected lesson or message and describe the concern, avoiding unnecessary sensitive detail. A proposed response process is to acknowledge, assess urgency, protect affected users, retain evidence securely, take proportionate action and offer review where appropriate. Actual response times and appeal arrangements require confirmation.
