Privacy for students
Draft for review — not effective terms or a completed privacy notice.
Version 2026-10-10-draft-3 · Updated 10 October 2026
A short explanation of what happens to your information.
Your learning space
SeedSlate saves your work so you and your teacher can return to it. Your account name, email and class membership help connect you to the right lessons. Your teacher can see work shared with them and the assignments you send back. People in a shared lesson can see the content made available to them.
Photos and talking
The camera only works if you allow it. A photo you add to a lesson or submit as work can be saved and seen by its intended recipients. Photograph your work rather than your face, address or other private information.
You choose whether to join voice and allow the microphone. Other people in that call can hear you. We found no voice-recording feature in this app, but another person could still record what they hear.
Get help
Tell a trusted adult if someone makes you uncomfortable, asks for private information or sends something worrying. You can block a direct-message conversation. You or a trusted adult can contact info@seedslate.co.uk for help. This mailbox is not an emergency service; its delivery and response arrangements must be checked before these pages are final.
You can ask what information is held about you and ask for mistakes to be corrected. Ask your teacher or a trusted adult for help. The full privacy notice explains more. SeedSlate is intended for learners of all ages, with no minimum student age. Arrangements for younger children, including suitable adult support and privacy safeguards, must be completed before these pages are final.
