Subscription and cancellation terms
Draft for review — not effective terms or a completed privacy notice.
Version 2026-10-10-draft-3 · Updated 10 October 2026
A planning draft for paid teacher access and free student participation.
Before payment is enabled
Students are intended to join free. Teacher plan names, prices, tax treatment, billing periods, limits, trials and payment provider remain undecided. This draft does not create a subscription, promise plan benefits or authorise charging.
Before checkout, clearly identify the trader, total price, recurring charges, minimum commitment and cancellation process. Show renewal and any trial conversion clearly, and provide confirmation in a durable form. Separate consumer and business-customer arrangements where necessary.
Cancellation and saved work
Define how a teacher cancels, when access changes, what can be exported, whether a free plan continues and when any data is removed. Do not silently delete pupil work on downgrade or use cancellation terms to override data-controller instructions.
UK consumer cancellation rights and any request to start a digital service during a cancellation period need review against the actual service. Do not use a blanket “no refunds” term or assume all online services use the same digital-content exception. A functioning cancel route must exist before paid subscriptions launch.
